My name’s Paul Canovas Abay-Abay

A filmmaker based in the Greater Toronto Area, I focus on capturing weddings through a cinematic, candid, intentional and story based approach.

My work is rooted in observation - capturing moments as they unfold, with attention to atmosphere, movement, emotion and making people feel comfortable in front of a camera. I approach each wedding with intention, allowing the day to speak for itself rather than be directed.

Since beginning in 2015, I’ve developed a style that prioritizes authenticity over spectacle, creating films that feel timeless, personal, and quietly immersive. No two weddings are treated the same, each story shaped by the people, the energy, the love and the subtle details that define it.

From the first conversation to the final edit, every element is considered with care, resulting in films that is not only seen, but experienced and feels like you.
